For the 2nd year in a row, global confectionery brand, Lindt Chocolate, have enlisted the Digital-City based business to develop an internal, digital Christmas campaign for their employees.

Calm Digital launched their digital calendar platform in 2009 and have implemented the system across a diverse client base, to enhance organisations Christmas marketing activity.

Along with Lindt Chocolate, the digital calendar service has attracted a client base consisting of; active wear retailers – Trespass, vehicle leasing company – Vanarama, short term loan lenders – MYJAR and the local North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC), just to name a few.

Through maintained relationship with existing clients and an uptake of the product from new clients, the digital agency have recruited 3 new members of staff to drive the company forward.

2 additional developers have been added to the team, the first, Sam Roberts 24, is working as a full time developer . The second, Chris Tyremen, 21, is a Teesside University computing student who has completed a gap year at Calm Digital previously. The 3rd addition to the team was a new project & account manager, Beth Thompson 23.

The Advent Calendar Online system helps clients increase revenue over the festive period by driving more website traffic, growing email marketing lists, increasing social media activity & engagement and can also be used for internal employee engagement drives.

Designed as a traditional advent calendar, the campaigns are built as microsites and allow organisations to have 12 or 24 windows on the countdown to Christmas. Content is hidden behind each window and revealed daily when visitors input their details and email address, allowing an organisation to grow their email marketing database in exchange for discount codes, promotions or giveaways.
