The £22.6 million Teesside Advanced Manufacturing Park (TeesAMP) offers a prime location for innovative manufacturing companies, creating an industry-leading cluster of businesses. The 11-hectare site is located less than a mile from Middlesbrough’s thriving centre.

TeesAMP and the River Tees

TeesAMP is a key asset that will transform Middlesbrough’s business landscape. It will be the base for some of the country’s most forward-thinking and like-minded manufacturing companies that will transform technologies and drive innovation.

The park is made up of a number of units, and the businesses based in them will play a key role in the UK’s advanced manufacturing output. The buildings are designed to ‘BREEAM Very Good’ standards and offer high quality, flexible accommodation space.

Ten buildings make up the site, ranging in size from 3,000 sq.ft. to 30,000 sq.ft. in phase one. Work on phase two of the park will commence soon, and units can be designed to bespoke specification.

TeesAMP has made a significant impact since opening, with 30% of the unit space taken up by new tenants within the first few months.

Durata UK recently confirmed their move to TeesAMP. They specialise in critical power infrastructure for data-led industries and operate throughout the UK, Europe and Middles East. Durata is aiming to grow its presence in the Tees Valley and develop relationships with technology focused businesses in the area.

Sulzer Chemtech quickly followed, and their unit will allow the firm to strengthen its column and tower services offering, including its automated weld overlay capabilities for manufacturing and processing facilities, including waste to energy power plants.

TWI was the first company to take up residence at TeesAMP and their £10.8m building is now an iconic part of the park’s landscape. They are powering forward their high value research, technology training, and certification activities across the oil and gas, energy, chemical, power, and transport sectors. TWI is also now home to the UK’s first Offshore Wind Validation Centre.
