Speak Up to Skill Up!

There’s nothing more crucial to the future of the North East than having the right skills and getting the right talent pipeline in place will enable the region to succeed. Every business has an interest in improving the North East’s skills system so join us at this workshop and give your views.

We will be looking for the answers to two simple questions –

· Which skills do you find it difficult to source/ recruit?

· If you could change one thing about the local skills system, what would it be?

The government has tasked the North East England Chamber of Commerce with working with businesses in Newcastle, Northumberland, North Tyneside and the Tees Valley to understand their needs and create a blueprint for skills and training to take the region’s economy forward, this plan will then be made statutory and put into law.

So, your opinions will have real weight and change things, the more input we receive, the better the plan we can produce.
