A growing Middlesbrough-based film company is heading straight to the final of a prestigious regional award ceremony.
Ithica Films, one of the North East’s fastest growing film companies, has made the regional finals of this year’s North East Business Awards in the Best Creative Company category.
Launched in 2014 by Managing Director Matt McGough, Ithica Films, which is based in Boho One creates award-winning films for business.
Matt established the business after a decade working in the industry. A graduate in Television Production his mission was to raise the bar in film making and create remarkable films that make an impact.
Matt said: “It’s an amazing privilege to be nominated for this award, we’ve worked hard to build a special company that creates fantastic films and it’s nice to receive recognition from the North East Business Awards, particularly in the Creative category.
“Creativity is something that’s vital to our work and the vision and skill in crafting films for our clients are something that runs right through our team.
“It’s been a big year not only for us but also other digital and creative companies in Teesside, particularly in the Boho Zone, and we’re keen to see the industry continue to get the acclaim it deserves.
“It was a fantastic feeling when we won the Best Digital & Creative Company at last year’s Best New Business Awards and it’s a real privilege to be representing the creative sector at the North East Business Awards, which are the biggest of its kind in our region.”
The winner will be announced at the North East Business Awards Grand Final on 27th April at Hardwick Hall Hotel, Sedgefield.
